 Lars Thue (b. 1946) is educated as an historian (Cand. philol.) at the University of Oslo and is professor in modern history at Centre for Business History, Norwegian School of Management (NSM) in Oslo. The history of electricity,telecommunications and other infrastructures has been Thue’s main interest, but he has also done extensive work on other topics. He has taught business history at all levels at NSM. In 1998, Thue received the “Sverre Steen prize for eminent historical popularisation”. The Norwegian Historical Association and Cappelen Publishing House award the prize once a year. In EUROCRIT Thue is responsible for the project “From Systems to Complexes: Coping with security andefficiency in European electricity networks”.
